SUBJECT: COMBINED INSPECTION REPORT NUMBERS 50-334/93-14; 50-412/93-15
This refers to the announced safety inspection conducted by Mr. A. Finkel of this office
from July 19 - 23, 1993, at Beaver Valley Power Stations Units 1 and 2, Shippingport,
Pennsylvania, of activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-66 and NPF-73 and to the
discussions of our findings held by Mr. A. Finkel with Mr. D. Spoerry and other members
of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region 1 Inspection Report,
'
which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures and records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no issues affecting public health and safety, nor any
violations of NRC requirements were observed.
