References:

Letter dated July 19, 1993, from R. E. Denton to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission transmitting a Proposed Change to the Quality Assumnce Program for Calvert Cliffs Units 1 and 2 We received your 10 CFR 50.54(a) submittal, referenced above, transmitting a Proposed Change to the Quality Assurance Program for Calvert Cliffs Units 1 and 2. The Region I staff has reviewed this submittal in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(a) and determined that the changes to the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) are acceptable in that the Quality Assurance Program continues to satisfy the criteria of Appendix B of 10 CFR Part 50. We note that the transfer of traceability information will continue to be performed by appropriately qualified individuals under the BG&E QAP, and the Nuclear Quality Assurance Department will perform periodic inspections or surveillances to verify program adherence.

If there are changes to other operative QA commitments existing in docketed correspondence outside of the QA program description, you are obligated to notify this office. Implementing i

such changes should be based on 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3). The effectiveness of your Quality Assurance Program and procedure implementation will continue to be the subject of routine regional inspections.
