Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2 1993 Annual Emergency Preparedness Exercise Scenario Gentlemen:

Attached is the Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2,1993 Annual Emergency Preparedness Exercise scenario package for NRC review.

This scenario package is being submitted 60 days prior to the scheduled September 29, 1993 annual exercise in accordance with an NRC letter dated August 9,1989, regarding the submittal of " Emergency Exercise Objectives and Scenario Guidelines." This emergency exercise is a biennial full-particintion exercise and therefore, will involve the participation of offsite emcrgency response agencies.

The attached scenario package provides the scenario objectives, schedules, exercise rules, and controller contingency and simulation information.

This package also contains data relating to plant conditions, radiation levels and release rates, and samples of the data to be presented.

Due to the confidentiality of this information, copies of the attached scenario package are

only being distributed to those individuals specified as recipients in the August 9,1989 letter, and is not for public disclosure.

However, as a result of a telephone conversation between Philadelphia Electric Company and NRC Region I representatives on September 22, 1992, this information need not be distributed to Mr. James Jamison of the Battelle Pacific National Laboratory as directed in the August 9, 1989 letter.

Mr. Richard Z. Kinard, Manager, Emergency Preparedness has been designated as your interface for this emergency exercise.
