OF MEETING HELD ON JULY 8, 1993 A meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the GE staff on July 8,1993, in San Jose, California.

The purpose of the meeting was for GE to discuss their computerized information management systems for the SBWR design. is the list of those who attended the meeting. is a copy of the agenda which was generally followed. is the set of handouts provided by GE.

The staff opened the meeting stating that the Commission was looking into how to improve its computer and electronic environment so that it could operate more efficiently, reduce response time, and reduce the quantity of paper currently required to perform its job. The staff was looking at industry's efforts to computerize management of information and to communicate electronically.

GE then provided an overview of the publication process of the SBWR standard safety analysis report and requests for additional information, the current configuration management system, and the new software tools being developed at GE.

GE demonstrated the AEDSARS software tool it used for the display engineering work stations for the SBWR design and other designs at the GE i

facilities.

In addition, GE demonstrated the POWRTRAK P&ID module software tool it used for piping design and instrumentation drawings for future designs at GE.
