Notice of Violation (NOV) for Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2, involving the failure to perform adequate radiation surveys and the-failure to adequately inform workers of the radiological conditions during ,

tha removal of traversing incore probe (TIP) tubing under the LGS, UnitL2 reactor vessel. In the same correspondence, we also responded to a number i of additional issues raised in your April 9, 1993 letter transmitting the  !

NOV. j Your inspection report had stated that "While it is our conclusion that

-your overall event investigation was strong, it is also our conclusion that

' your evaluation of the potential for a substantial exposure in excess of  ;

regulatory requirements was weak." In order to better untirstand this issue and atrengthen our performance, we committed to arrange for an independent review of the various analyses of this event. We also committed to make the -i results'of this' review available to the NRC. The enclosed report by K. W.  !
