Submittal Supporting Accelerated ABWR Schedule - ABWR CDF Sensitivity to ESF Equipment Out of Service
Dear Chet:
The attached tabulation documents results of sensitivity analyses performed to determine tbc impact on ABWR CDF which would result from the removal of ESF equipment from service.
Calculations were performed with the ABWR internal event PRA model, and values presenteo represent changes from the base case CDF value of 1.56E-07 per year. The CDF change for each case reflects the impact of completely removing the identified equipment from service. The change in CDF for any specific out of service time can be obtained by prorating between the base case CDF and that presented for the equipment completely removed from service.
We believe. the attached table responds to all of the calculations which the NRC has requested during our recent meetings in San Jose.
