RE:

CEC IMPACT ASSESSM NT ITEM:

TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH MR. JOHN MOEK, HOMER' S LIGHT AND WATER DEPARTMENT I spoke with Mr. Moek about the current water supply in Homer and the l

impact of potential increased consumption by CEC.

There are three main j

wells that provide all of Homer's water requirements, two of them have a 600 gallon-per-minute - capacity, while the third one handles 200 gallons-per-minute.

Normally, one of the larger capacity wells is all that is needed to supply the entire town.

Yet, there are plans to drill a fourth well within 90 days, also with a 600 gallon-per-minute capacity.

All of the wells access the Sparta aquifer, which will also be the source of CEC's own water supply wells.
