CEC IMPACT ASSESJ GNT 2
ITEM:
TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH OFFICER BETTY MORELAND, CLAIBORNE I
PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE l
1 I spoke with Ms.Moreland on the subjects of Homer's current public safety resources, and the impact of the CEC facility.
In addition to the Sherif 1',
the current number of deputies is 21 (as opposed to 20
" sheriffs", Section 3.6.2.2).
She also confirmed the numbers of patrol cars as 10 marked, and 4 unmarked.
Ms.Moreland believes that the Parish's current resources would be severely strained if the LES facility caused an influx of in-migrants and commuter-workers.
