TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH MR. JACK NOGLE, ASSISTANT MANAGER, HOMER AVIATION AIRPORT I spoke with Mr. Nogle about the characteristics of the Homer Aviation Airport and the possibility of it being expanded in the future.

There is only one runway that was origina11e intended to measure 4000 feet, but i

was built 3,200 feet long. There ar. government (state and local) plans to extend the length of the runway to its planned length sometime in the near future.

There are no scheduled flights from the airport.

The primary use is for privately owned airplanes, but there are also state and other types of official flights related to the Wade Correctional j

Facility. The airport maintains one fuel supply and two hangars that are l

used only for repairs and storage.
