TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH MS. LINDA TOGGLES, EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, HOMER MEMORIAL HOSPITAL health services situation in I spoke with Ms. Toggles about the current Claiborne Parish.
The Homer Memorial Hospital is staffed with 175 employees, 6 family practitioners and 3 specialists.
The family practitioners also work at their own clinics, one in Homer and the second in Haynesville.
The specialists go to the parish only once a week.
The hospital has 57 beds, and could handle 30 to 40 more patients over the daily average without much disruption.
The North Claiborne Hospital has not been reopened.
There are also five dentists with private practices and two nursing homes in the parish.
