Enclosed is Revision 01 to the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (YNPS) Defueled Security Training and Qualification Plan as f
approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in Reference (b).
The change that is incorporated in Revision 01 enhances the defense capabilities of the security force with respect to l
handgun weapons qualification, and as such, does not decrease the 1
effectiveness of the-training and qualification plan for YNPS.
]
Therefore, the purpose of this transmittal is to notify the NRC in accordance with the written communication requirement of 10 CFR 50.4 and the safeguards requirements of 10 CFR 50.54 (p) (2) that the change has been implemented.
Attachment A explains the change.
Attachment B contains the annotated version of the affected pages from the Revision Original of the YNPS Defueled Security Training and Qualification Plan.
Attachment C contains the Revision 01 replacement pages.
All changes are annotated by sidebars in the margins.
