Vernetson, Chairman Director of Nuclear Facilities University of Florida Gainesville, FL 32611 Gentlemen: I am responding to your July 2, 1993, letter requesting a 30-day extension of the period to provide comments on the need for changes to NRC fee policy and associated legislation which.was published in the Federal Register on April 19, 1993 (58 FR 21116). In view of the importance of the NRC fee policy review, the Commission has granted your request for a 30-day extension to August 18, 1993. This extension to the comment period will be published shortly in the Federal Register. The extended comment period provides time for your review of the Federal Register notice which establishes the licensing, inspection and annual fees for FY 1993 and implements a decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit dated March 16, 1993.
