SUMMARY
REPORT Enclosed are Volume.s 1 and 2 of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant. Unit 1 (VEGP-1) Inservice Inspection (ISi) Final Report which constitute the
" Owner's Report for Inservice Inspection (Form NIS-1)" required by Subsubarticle IWA-6230 of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI 1983 Edition with Addenda through Summer 1983.
Inservice inspection activities which were conducted at VEGP-1 during the Spring 1993 maintenance / refueling outage are discussed therein.
Also included therein are "daner's Reports for Repairs and Replacements (Form NIS-2)" for repairs and/or replacements documented at VEGP-1 from the end oi the previous maintenance / refueling outage thruugh the Spring 1993 maintenance / refueling outage.
Volumes 3 through 8 of the ISI Final Report contain information not typically submitted to the U. S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) in the " Owner's Report for Inservice Inspection (Form NIS-1)", e.g.. personnel certifications, nondestructive examination procedures. etc., and are not included herein.
Volumes 3 through 8. however. are available for review upon request at the plant site.
With regard to the NIS-2 reports on repairs and/or re)lacements, only the completed NIS-2 forms are being submitted.
Any attac1ments e.g.. code data reports. etc., that are referenced in the completed NIS-2 forms will be made available for review upon request at the plant site.
Contained in the VEGP-1 " Owner's Report for Inservice Inspection (Form NIS-1)" is a discussion on the inspection of steam generator tubes performed during the Spring 1993 maintenance / refueling outage.
That discussion constitutes the Special Report required by VEGP Technical Specification 4.4.5.5.b to be submitted to the USNPC within 12 months

Accordingly, there will not be a separat. submittal made to the USNRC on the ins)ection of the steam generator tubes performed during the subject outage.
3y copy of this letter. the appropriate USNRC Regional Administrator is being provided copies of the enclosed report volumes; thus com)liance with the requirements of VEGP Technical Specification 6.8.2 for su)mittal of Special reports to the appropriate Regional Administrator is met.
Five copies of Volumes 1 and 2 of tho ISI Final Report for the Spring 1993 maintenance / refueling outage are provided for your review.
Two copies of the subject volumes are being provided to the Regional Administrator for USNRC Region II.
