REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE No. NPF-57 DOCKET NO. 50-354 PSE&G submitted the response to Generic Letter 92-01, Revision 1 to the NRC in Letters NLR-N92080 dated June 30, 1992, and NLR-N92120 dated September 3, 1992. By lettc; d?ted June-1, 1993', the NRC documented the results of their initial review of these' responses and requested'the following additional information:

Question ' 2a in GL 92-01 The NRC requested PSE&G to either confirm that the BWR Owners Group Topical Report on Upper Shelf Energy (USE)

Equivalent Margin Analysis (NEDO-32205) will be used as'part of the Hope Creek Licensing Basis or to provide a plant. specific approach to demonstrate that all beltline materials that do not have a measured USE meet the requirements of 10CFR50, Appendix G.

NEDO-32205 was submitted to'the NRC by the BWR Owners Group on April 30, 1993. Upon review and approval of NEDO-32205 by the NRC,.PSE&G will incorporate the report as part of the licensing.

BWR Owners Group is completing a generic evaluation of.the test data used to establish the 2 Degree F per ft-lb slope. -This evaluation'is scheduled to be submitted to the NRC in August, 1993. PSE&G is supporting the Owners Group efforts to complete this generic evaluation.

Upon submittal of the generic evaluation by the BWR Owners Group, and review and approval by the NRC of this report and NEDO-32205, PSE&G will incorporate both these reports as part of the licensing basis by amendment to the Hope Creek UFSAR.
