Dear Mr. Rumrill:

This refers to the two letters from your Tampa, Florida, location, both dated March 1, 1993, requesting to be registered as a user of transportation packaging in accordance with 10 CFR S 71.12(c)(3).

Since that time, we have contacted Law Engineering, Inc., on numerous occasions to explain that the letters contained insufficient information for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to take action. During the telephone conversation on May 5, 1993, we were informed that Law Engineering, Inc., has a number of locations that should be registered as users of transportation packaging and we clarified for you that your quality assurance (QA) program l

for transportation packaging should be amended to identify all Law Engineering, Inc., locations.

However, your amended QA Program and request to be registered as a user of transportation packaging has not been received.

Unless your amended QA Program, along with the required application fee of

$250.00, and your request to be registered as a user of transportation j

packaging is provided within 30 days of the date of this letter, we plan to 1

issue a denial of your March 1,1993, requests.
