Enclosed is the information to assist you in completing your review and approval of the.
LES application to discharge wastewater. Please reference my letter to you dated December 14,1992.
A summary of the quarterly water quality data obtained from Lake Avalyn from June 1991 through June 1993 is shown in Figures 1-4. It should be noted that attempts were made during each sampling mission to measure alkalinity (as mg/l CACO ) by 3
potentiometric titration. The lake water has verv little buffering capacity as the pH would always fall below 4.2 upon addition of a very small amount of 0.02N HCL titrant.
Figures 5-7 summarize the hardness, sulfate _ and total suspended solids data collected over the past six months on Bluegill Pond and from the Central Claiborne Water Well which is developed in the Sparta Aquifer. The data indicates little change in these chemical values from the information provided in the LES Environmental Report, Tables
- 2.5-5 and 2.5-10.
