Washington Public Power Supply System (WPPSS Nuclear Project No. 1) Docket No. 50-460-OL Gentlemen:

In accordance with the October 14, 1983, Memorandum and Order in the captioned proceeding, the Washington Public Power Supply System

(" Supply System") hereby submits its quarterly status report regarding construction activities at WNP-1.

During the second quarter of 1992, no significant safety-related construction activities were performed at WNP-1, although a limited engineering effort was continuing.

We do not anticipate any change in this level of activity during the next several months.

Further, mindful of our obligation to keep the Licensing Board apprised of new information relevant to matters being adjudicated,l' we advise the Board and parties that in April 1993 the executive board of the supply System voted to initiate a study of possible termination of WNP-1 and WNP-3.

Completion of the study and formal action on any recommendations are not l'
