By letter dated February 2, 1993, Public Service Electric and l
Gas Company submitted the above license change request to the'-
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
The Technical Specification currently requires the Average Power Range Monitors (APRM) Scram and Rod Block setpoints be reduced to those applicable for single loop operations within four hours of entering single loop operations.
The proposed changes would provide additional time to reduce the setpoints and perform associated surveillance tests.

Energy's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BNE) reviewed the above l
amendment in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.91(b).
Based on this review, BNE does not have any comments on this request.
