BASE TABLE UPDATE Enclosure May 31, 1993 PROPOSED PROGRAM CHANGES The proposed program increases shown in the table are the results of NRC's Midyear Resource Review and reflect the utilization of unobligated carryover funds to meet the programmatic needs of the agency as described below.

$7,809 SALARIES AND BENEFITS Funds have been added to provide for the costs associated with relocating agency personnel from one duty station to another.
A proportionate share of the increase for salaries and benefits has been allocated among the various agency programs.
CONTRACT SUPPORT Huclear Material and Low-level Waste Safety and Safeguards Regulation (HMLLWSSR)
Funds have been added for contractual support by the National Academy of Sciences to review NRC's regulation of the medical use of byproduct material.

Funds have been added for the agency's office automation project, replacement of obsolete microcomputers, White Flint II consolidation, maintenance and enhancement of the agency financial system, acquisition of ADP and telecommunications equipment, and increased rental rates for agency office space.
