After having reviewed your latest submittal, dated June 23, 1993, the NRC staff expects that there will be no further questions concerning your Topical Report entitled, " Topical Safety Analysis Report for the CASTOR X Cask for an Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (Dry Storage)." We anticipate finishing the Safety Evaluation Report for both the X/28 and the X/33 around the end of this summer. The CASTOR X/33 will be approved for a maximum heat load of 9.9 kW which is lower than originally planned. If you have any questions, please call Jim Schneider at (301) 504-2692.
