The Commonwealth of Massachusetts 100 Cambridge Street Boston, MA 02202
Dear Ms. Coxe:
This letter is in response to correspondence from Ms. Susan F. Tierney, dated February 17, 1993, in which she explained the Commonwealth of Massachusetts statutes involving environmental restoration and waste disposal.
She also suggested that we meet with Ms. Helen Waldorf to discuss a coordinated effort for resolving Site Decommissioning Management Plan (SDMP) matters.
We contacted Ms. Waldorf and have tentatively scheduled a meeting with her and her staff to take place in Boston on April 21, 1993.
At this meeting we are planning to discuss the following areas:
1.
status of Massachusetts SDMP sites; 2.
our decommissioning process; 3.
Commonwealth and NRC jurisdictional and risk reduction issues; 4.
areas the Commonwealth wishes to participate in; and 5.
