Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM2759), recently received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of surplus natural and low-enriched uranium material from USD0E facilities (Hanford and Fernald) for conversion at COGEMA, Pierrelatte, France for ultimate use as fuel in non-U.S.
nuclear power programs in countries in EURATOM. Assurances from EURATOM are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
