SUBJECT:
MEETING
SUMMARY
- QUARTERLY MANAGEMENT MEETING
.i On June 7,1993, the Quarterly Management Meeting for Big Rock Point was held in Rockville, Maryland. A list of attendees is provided in Enclosure 1. contains the slides used for the licensee's presentation.
4 The licensee discussed the recent organizational changes; the scopc of the upcoming refueling outage that is scheduled to begin June 26, 1993; the preventive maintenance program; and the status of the end-of-license activities.
l The licensee is taking a close look at the engineering projects for Big Rock j
Point.
Fifty (of approximately 130) have already been eliminated.
The Technical Review Group (TRG) prioritizes the projects based on safety, availability, etc. NRC was invited to attend the TRG meetings. The licensee is hoping to complete the refueling outage in 51 days. Major work on the turbine has been recently added to the outage schedule. The new plant manager i
is emphasing quality rather than timeliness for the outage and is issuing an outage guide to all personnel.
e
't The licensee is planning to submit a decommissioning plan in June 1994. The IPE, which was scheduled to be submitted in September 1993, may be one or two months late. A meeting to discuss end-of-licensing issues was proposed for September 1993 to be held at the plant site.
