STAFF REQUIREMENTS - BRIEFING ON STATUS OF-DESIGN BASIS THREAT REEVALUATION (SECY-93-166), 10:00 A.M.,
THURSDAY, JUNE 24, 1993, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, ONE WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The commission
- was briefed by the NRC staff on the status of the design basis threat reevaluation.
The Commission addressed the staff recommendation to accept Option 5 when it. voted on SECY-93-166.
The Staff Requirements Memorandum on SECY-93-166 was subsequently signed and issued on June 29, 1993.
The Commission requested an estimate on the timeframe required to issue a rule based on the staff's recommendation for Option 5, and the timeframe for plants to implement that rule.
