Inspection 50-134/93-01
An announced inspection of your reactor operation and emergency preparedness programs at
the Nuclear Reactor Facility was conducted on June 8-10, 1993 by Mr. S. Holmes of this
office. Discussions of our findings were held by Mr. Holmes with you and members of your
j
staff at the conclusion of this inspection on June 10, 1993.
Areas reviewed during tnis inspection are important to public health and safety and are
described in the enclosed inspection report. The areas examined included staffing, reactor
logs, operating procedures, operator requalification program, surveillances, control of
experiments, maintenance and design changes, oversight and emergency planning.
Within these areas the inspection consisted of observations by the inspector, selective
examinations of procedures and representative records, and interviews with personnel.
No safety concerns or violations of NRC regulatory requirements were identified. No reply
to this letter is required.
