NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-482/93-02

This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. M. Runyan and the inspectors
identified in the enclosed report on May 3-7, 1993. The inspection included a
<
review of activities authorized for your Wolf Creek facility. At the
conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members
of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
This inspection examined the implementation of the program you developed to
meet your commitments to Generic Letter 89-10, " Safety-Related Motor-Operated
Valve Testing and Surveillance." The inspection consisted of interviews with
personnel and selective examination of records and procedures. We considered
the implementation of your motor-operated valve program to be generally in
accordance with your commitments to Generic Letter 89-10.
In accordance with 10 CFR Part 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy
of this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document
Room.
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased
to discuss them with you.
