Dear Mr. Rooney:
Enclosed is a letter dated May 20, 1993 from Edlow International Company which requests an amendment to export license application XSNM02747 to:
- 1) decrease the quantity of material requested for export from 250,000 kilograms U/12,500 kilograms U-235 enriched to 5% maximum 3to 12,654 kilograms U/443 kilograms U-235 enriched to 3.5% maximum; 2) delete all ultimate consignees except British Nuclear Fuels plc; 3) delete all suppliers except U.S. DOE, Piketon, DH; 4) change the end use from "for storage and/or use as reload fuel in light water reactors in EURATOM and the United States" to "the material will be used for storage and possible working stock at British Nuclear Fuels in the United Kingdom; and 5) change country of origin of source material to Canada and the United Kingdom only.
Please consider this request in conjunction with the original application which was forwarded to you on May 4, 1993.
