Dear Mr. Rooney:

Enclosed is a letter dated May 18, 1993 from General Electric Company which requests an amendment to export license XSNM01645 to: 1) change the ultimate consignee's name from Centrales Nuclear Es Del Norte S.A. to Nuclenor S.A.,

and 2) add approval for shipments of Australian and Canadian origin material.

A letter of assurance from EURATOM is required that the Ultimate Consignee name change is correct; and consent from the Australian and Canadian governments are required for the re-export of their source material to Spain.

Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.

Sincerely, k(%Ld Ok1h Ronald D. Hauber, Assistant Director for Exports, Security, and Safety Cooperation Office of International Programs
