On May 21, 1991, Southern Nuclear received NRC Inspection Report.Nos.
50-348/93-05 and 50-364/93-05 which was dated May 11, 1993.
The inspection report forwarded a notice of violation that required a reply within 30 days of the date of the inspection report.
Due to a delay of ten' days from the date of the report until receipt by Southern Nuclear the thirty-day allowed response time is significantly reduced.
In a telephone conversation on May 21, 1993, between Mr. Brad Moore of Southern Nuclear and Mr. Chris Christensen. of the NRC, Region II office, it was agreed that the Southern Nuclear reply could be extended 10 days to June 20, 1993, due to the ten-day delay in receipt of the report.
