Dear Mr. DelGeorge:

This refers to the inspection conducted by Ms. K. Shembarger and

Mr. R. Doornbos of this office during the week of May 10, 1993. The

inspection included a review of authorized activities for your LaSalle County

Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2.

We discussed our inspection findings with

Mr. W. Murphy and members of your staff at the exit interview on May 14, 1993.

The purpose of the inspection was to review the content and evaluate the

effectiveness of your licensed operator requalification training program. The

inspection consisted of a' review of program implementing procedures and

representative records, interviews with _ station personnel and personnel

located at the Commonwealth Edison Company (Ceco) Production Training Center,

review of the requalification exam material administered during the current

module, and observation of the requalification exams administered during the

inspection week. Overall, we determined that your licensed operator

requalifications training program met the requirements of 10 CFR 55.

No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this

inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.793 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of

this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.

We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
