Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM02749), recently i
received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of low-enriched uranium in the form of two (2) test fuel assemblies containing U02 pellets for j
use in hydraulic and mechanical tests for VVER fuel assembly development program. Please note that Australian and Canadian source material might be involved.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed export
- heets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act of 1978.
