Dear Mr. Thorne:

i Enclosed please find an application for a license to export 975 curies of tritium gas for use as a primary ionization source in gas arresters in Brazil.

The tritium will be used in gas arresters for telephone and telecommunication line protection against surge voltages. The applicant anticipates shipments of 195 curies per year over a five-year period.
