SUBJECT:
LICENSED OPERATOR REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM EVALUATION, NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-382/93-21 We are planning to conduct a Licensed Operator Requalification Program Evaluation at your Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station facility during the period September 13-17, 1993. This schedule was discussed with Mr. J. O'Hern of your staff on May 19, 1993.
The inspection will be conducted in accordance with Temporary Instruction 2515/117, " Licensed Operator Requalification Program Evaluation."
The team leader and principal contact for this inspection effort is Mr. Stephen McCrory. The inspection team will consist of the team leader, and two inspectors / examiners.
In order to implement an efficient inspection, the team would like to conduct a short entrance meeting with those involved members of your staff at 10 a.m.
on September 13, 1993. The team requests that arrangements be made to complete all necessary administrative requirements on September 13, 1993, to permit unescorted access including access to the radiologically controlled areas of the facility. The team will spend the remainder of the week l
inspecting your licensed operator requalification program.
The team will conduct an in-office review of the following material prior to the week of onsite inspection:
Copies of all approved written and operating examinations to be used during the requalification testing period. At a minimum this must include examinations developed for all weeks in the testing period through the week of the inspection.
The requalification training plan (curriculum) for the requalification cycle just completed.
The governing procedures which specify the means by which the objectives of the requalification training plan are incorporated into the comprehensive examination.
