RESPONSE TO NRC BULLETIN NO. 93-02 To Whom It May Concern:

-. j The Yankee Nuclear Power Station (YNPS) is no longer a holder of an operating hcense.
YNPS was permanently shutdown and defueled in February 1992 and received a Possession 1 Only License on August 5,1992. The Possession ^ Only License prohibits the transfer of -
l spent fuel from the Spent Fuel Pit into Containment. As a result, a loss of coolant accidentL
-l is no longer applicable to YNPS. Therefore, NRC Bulletin No. 93-02 is not applicable.
