is COMSECY-93-019.- It's a staff response to an SRM on
[
10 SECY-92-351. The Commission is being asked to approve 11 amendments to 10 CFR Part 61 containing licensing 12 requirements for low-level waste disposal facilities.
i 13 These amendments clarify that 10 CFR Part 61 also f
14 applies to the licensing of above-ground disposal-j 15 facilities and update several other sections of Part 16 61.
The changes should simplify the LLW disposal i
17 facility licensing intoractions for NRC, the NRC j
18 agreement states and potential applicants for the LLW r
1 19 disposal licenses.

20 All the Commissioners have approved.the i
21 final rule fowarded by the EDO on April 13th.
