Dear Mr. Selin,

The thought that the proposed uranium enrichment plant to be built near two low-income communities in Louisiana-will produce roughly 4,000 tons of uranium-238 waste annually is distressing indeed. Knowing that U-238 remains hazardous for a couple of million years makes such a proposal genuinely-outrageous..

In light-of the above, I urge-you to advise the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to deny Louisiana Energy Services application to construct a uranium enrichment facility in Homer, Louisiana. I am strongly supportive of the local communities of Forest. Grove and Center Springs who~are

resolutely opposed to having the LES plant in their backyard.

Please look into this matter and consider the. issue of.

environmental racism which may be -irvolved in the decision i

to locate the' plant near two small black communities. Thank you in advance for your consideration..
