i We are writing in response to a decision to bulla a uranium j
I enrichment plant in Forest Grove and Center Springs, Loulslana, q
Louisiana Energy Services (LES) plans to build tnis plant in an era l
et declining need and worldwide overcapacity of enriched uranium.
We understand that currently, Department of Energy (DOE) enrichment plants are operating at 50 percent capacity.

The cost for LES' enriched uranium will be higher than that produced by the DOE.
We will ask our state congress-persons to look into the matter of the higher cost f or LES' uranium and it the j
government of the United States is torced or required to buy enriched uranium f rom LES' plant.
There is no need for additional waste in the nuclear industry or governmental spending.

Please deny LES' application to construct a uranium enrichment plant near the communities of Forest Grove and Center. Springs, Louisiana.
We also understand that these local communities adamantly oppose the construction of the plant'so close to their backyard.
