Dear M:

. Selin.

I am writing both in my capacity as information officer for the Zimbabwe Women's Bureau, and as a citizen of the United States, to urge the NRC licensing board to deny Louisiana Energy Services's splication to construct a uranium enrichment facility in Homer, Louisiana.

Let me remind you that the local communities of Forest Grove and Center Springs are adamantly opposed to having the LES plant located in their backyard, and that the plant will have serious, negative social and environmental impacts on the area.

With this in mind, I would like to encourage you to take a close look at the issue of environmental racism and the role that it might have in deciding to site the plant so near to two small black communities.

45 I appreciate your attention to this matter.

Sincerely yours,

/
