Dear Mr. Selin:

This is to urge the NRC licensing board to deny the Louisiana Energy Services' application to construct a uranium facility in Homer, Louisiana.

The communities of Forest Grove and Center Springs are adamantly against the LES plant in the area and to put it there would, indeed, constitute environmental racism --

because both communities are black.

f I would also discourage your licensing board, for the

simple reason that any uranium enrichment facility, anywhere is dangerous and environmentally unsound.

But the fact is these kinds of projects generally do land in the laps of the poor or minorities and this can have nothing but negative impact.
