Dear Mr. Selin,
This letter regards the Louisana Energy Service's application to build a new nuclear enrichment facility near the Forest Grove and Center Springs communities.
I am quite sure that you are aware of the allegations of environmental racism surrounding the choice of location for this facility, and also that you are cognizant of the threat posed to the environment by such facilities. I ask also that you consider the growing trends toward " green" power - solar power, wind power, and the like - over nuclear power, and the growing hostility with which this nation as a whole views new nuclear facilities of any type. Further, the nation does not.. en need a new enrichment facility, as we still have more capaci.
for enrichment than can currently be utilized by our nuclear pch r plants.
I hope that as you consider the LES's application, you will take into account the environment, our nation's feelings, and simple practicality. I hope that you will deny the application as wasteful, unnecessary, and unwanted.
