Dear sir:
I am writing to urge you to advise the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to deny the Louisiana Energy Services' application to construct a uranium enrichment facility in Homer, Louisiana. I also remind you that the local communities of Forest Grove and Center Springs are firmly against the construction of the plant. The creation of such s facility would have immense negative social and environmental impacts on the area. Finally, I encourage you to take a closer look at the issue of environmental racism. It might have possibly played a role in deciding to site the uranium enrichment plant so close to two small black communities. I am sure you will aid the Nuclear Regulatory Commission make the right decision. I request a response to my letter.
