Dear Ivan Selin,
I'm aware that the Louisiana Energy Services (LES) has submitted an application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commision (NRC) for permission to build its plant near the communities of Forest Grove and Center Springs.
I urge you to advise the NRC licensing board to deny LES application to constuct a uranium enrichment facility in Homer, Louisiana.
I remind you that the local communities of Forest Grove and Center Springs are adamantly opposed to having the LES plant located in their backyard.
I point out the negative social and enviromental impacts that the plant will have on the area.
I encourage you to take a close look at the issue of enviromental racism and the role that it might have played in deciding to site the plant so near to the two small black communities.
