Dear Mr. Selin:

I am appalled and dismayed to learn of the intention of the consortium, Louisiana Energy Services, to build an enrichment facility to convert natural urnaium into fuel for nuclear power reactors, near Forest Grove and Center Springs, in Louisiana.

This, in spite of the dangers of pollution in the area, nuclear proliferation, and the fact that DOE plants which enrich uranium at less cost are only operating at 50% of capacity.

Please advise the NRC licensing board to deny LES' application, as in addition to the above reasons, there appears to be environmental racism involved in the decision to locate the plant in Homer, Louisiana, which the above black communities are adamantly opposed to.
