Dear Idx. Selin:

I am quite concerned about an application from Louiciana Energy Services for a uranium enrichment facility to be placed in Homer, Iouiciana.

The local communities of Forect Grove and Center Springs are adamantly oppoced to placing thic facility in their neighborhood.

Such a plant will have ceriouc, negative impact on the local environment and human community.

Ac these two omall towns are black communitiec, there ic the appearance of environmental racicm here.

I urge you to investigate thic incue.

There io already a worldwide overcapacity for producing enriched uranium.

The Department of Energy hac onrichment' plante that are operating at only 50% of capacity, and they enrich uranium at a lower coct than the IES plant.

Thic plant in cimply unnececcary.

I urgo you to advice the ITRC to deny LES' application for thic facility.
