Dear Mr. Selin,

I write to urge you to deny the Louisiana Energy Se171ces application to construct a uranium enrichment facility in Homer, Louisiana.

I urge thic because the residents of Forest Grove and center Springs are opposed to the plant.

Since there are two black communities the plant gives credence to the charge made by some of environmental racism - that poor communities have a preponderance of ha::ardous waste dumps and dangerous industrial operations in their backyards.

Since existing Department of Energy enrichment plants are operating at only 50% of capacity I see no need for another, especially one with outmoted technology which can be used to produce weapons grade uranium.
