Application of Louisiana Energy Services I am appalled at the plans for a uranium enrichment plant in rural Louisiana.

1 ask that your agency deny the application of Louisiana Energy Services.

f The need for such an enrichment facility is doubtful.

What use is there for uranium except in atomic (nuclear; hydrogen) bombs?

Why should this country ~ build more nuclear bombs?

We already have an adequate surplus.

Currently Department of Energy enrichment plants ure coperating at only 50% of capacity.

The need for a plant in Louisiana is doubtful.

I Contamination is a further problem should such a facility be built.

Polluting water from the plant would be discharged into the Lake Claiborne watershed.

Many homes near the proposed facility rely on wells for driaking water.

1 ask you to consider fully these points.
