Dear Mr. Selin:

1 I am writing to urge you to advise the NRC licensing i

board to deny Louisiana Energy Services' application to construct a uranium enrichment facility in Homer, Louisiana.

The local communities of Forest Grove and Center Springs are adamantly opposed to having the LES plant located l

in their backyard.

The plant will have negative social l

and environmental impacts on the area, such as possible contamination of the water in the area and closing and j

rerouting of the only road that' services-both of the i

above communities.

Please take a close look at the issue of environmental racism and the role that it might have played in deciding to site the plant so near to two small black communities.
