Mr. Selin; I am contacting you regard 1ng the proposed uranium enrichment plant planned by Louislana Energy Services.
Currently the Department of Energy's enrichment plants are only operating at 50% of capacity due to a world wide overcapacity for the product planned.
The polluting water W111 De discharged into the Lake Clairborn watershed. There are 40 homes within 5 miles of the facility that rely on well for there drinking water.
A retirement community dlso surrounds the shores of Lake Cla1rDorn some with no transportation if a major UF6 disaster should occur.
A byproduct of the enrichment process will produce of approx 1mately 4,000 tons of U-238 annual.
You are well aware that this by-product remains hazardous for millions of years.
I urgt you to deny the license to operate Dased on these and other pertinent reasons.
Amer 1ca has all the rad 10 active waste we need, no one can pred1ct the med1 cal cost Amer 1 cans will pay for this contamination.
