CONFIRMATION OF MEETING - HATCH UNIT 1

This confirms the arrangements made between Mr. Tom Beckham, Jr., of your staff and Mr. P. H. Skinner of my staff on May 3,1993, concerming a management meeting to be conducted on May 19, 1993, in the NRC Region 11 Office at 1:00 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting will be for you to discuss operator performance involving a Loss of Shutdown Cocling event that occurred on April 14, 1993.
In particular you should be prepan ed to discuss the operations personnel attentiveness to activities associated with the shutdown cooling process and to discuss the lack of monitoring key paramoters, including alarm capabilities.
In addition, your discussion should include plans to preclude a future loss of shutdown cooling as well as plans to monitor key parameters and provide alarms to the operators.
Should you have any questions concerning this arrangement, we will be pleased to discuss them.
