Dear Ms. Adensan:
REFERENCE:
Docket No. 70-1201, SNM-1168 B&W Fuel Company's Commercial Nuclear Fuel Plan (CNFP) submitted a revised Emergency Plan on August 13, 1992.
On April 9, 1993, Mike Lamastra, of your staff, requested further information regarding the revised Plan.
The April 9 letter requested that the information be submitted within 90 days.
Because the content will be substantially changed due the the requested information, we feel that the revised Plan should be reviewed by off-site response agencies for their comments prior to NRC submission.
Consequently, we request that the NRC grant us an additional 60 days to provide the information.
This is consistent with 10 CFR 70.22(4) which requires a 60 day time frame for such review.
One of the revisions contained in the August 13, 1992 Plan was to change the NRC observed drill to a biennial exercise.
We ask that NRC relieve us from conducting the drill for calendar year 1993.
This request is also consistent with 10 CFR 70.22 (3) (xii) which requires biennial on-site exercises.
